Covid-19: Donald Trump, big absent from a spot for the vaccine

Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama … all the former US presidents still alive have promoted vaccination along with their respective wives.

Across the world, as vaccination accelerates, governments face the most skeptical of their fellow citizens. In the United States , all the former presidents still alive have been gathered in a commercial to promote the vaccination against Covid-19.

On its Youtube page, the Ad Council, a nonprofit organization that produces public service announcements, created two videos, starring Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, the last surviving American presidents.

Each in turn, they recall the advantages of a massively vaccinated population and give the personal reasons that motivated them to receive the vaccine with their respective wives.

You will no doubt have noticed that the 45th and last President of the United States before Joe Biden, Donald Trump , is nevertheless missing . He did not join his predecessors, but reacted to the vaccination campaign through the press, with a style of his own. In a press release, he assures us that vaccines are now available thanks to him: “If I had not been president, you would not have obtained this beautiful vaccine for five years, at best. (…) I hope everyone remembers it!
